Quality Improvement

What is Quality Improvement?
Quality improvement (QI) is a systematic, formal approach to the analysis of practice performance and efforts to improve performance. A variety of approaches—or QI models—exist to help us collect and analyze data and test changes.
Quality improvement is meant for deliberately enhancing safety, effectiveness, and/or efficiency.

Why is Quality Improvement important? (In Healthcare and in Life?
We live in a world where the evolution of medical technology is seeing innumerable advances. But, when it comes to addressing patient needs, ensuring patient safety, efficiency of the system, and quality improvement, our healthcare systems typically perform far less robustly.
Improving quality in the healthcare environment can help providers with reliable, cost-effective and sustained healthcare processes and enable them to achieve their goal of improving care delivery and enhancing patient outcomes while at the same time, increasing their own satisfaction levels at work thus combatting burnout.
